THE SERIES MERMAIDS TO LOVER STARRING SERENA OEXLE TO PREMIERE AT SERIALCAMP FESTIVAL IN COLOGNE

At the heart of the story is 18-year-old competitive swimmer Trixie (Serena Oexle), whose life revolves around her father’s public swimming pool. Determined to earn a place on Germany’s junior national swimming team, she has little time for distractions. But when the struggling pool is rented out to a group of aspiring mermaids to keep the business afloat, Trixie’s carefully structured world is thrown into chaos.

Forced to share training lanes, tensions soon boil over as the fiercely competitive swimmers clash with the flamboyant amateur mermaids. Together with her coach Konstantin (Oscar Nadermann) and her best friend Nadira (Eilin Aliza Behbid), Trixie comes up with a plan to get rid of the merpeople once and for all.

Among them, however, is 16-year-old social media sensation Finn (Philip Günsch), a charismatic crowd favourite who unexpectedly manages to break through Trixie’s emotional defences. But can the ambitious athlete and the merman admit that they might just be perfectly in sync?
